Terms and Conditions
The YNCU New Member Promotional Offer (the “Offer”) is provided by Your Neighbourhood Credit Union Limited (“YNCU”) and is available to eligible individuals who become new YNCU members during the Offer Period.
1. Offer Summary
Eligible new members will, subject to the terms and conditions herein, receive:
$0-fee Simply Plus Chequing account (“Premium Chequing”) for a period of six (6) months, and
A 0.10% (10 basis point) interest rate discount on an eligible YNCU mortgage (subject to qualification timing; see Section 5)
2. Offer Period
The Offer is available from April 13, 2026 to October 30, 2026 (the “Offer Period”), unless extended, modified, or withdrawn by YNCU in its sole discretion.
3. Eligibility
To qualify for the Offer, individuals must complete the following during the Offer Period:
Become a new YNCU member
Open a Simply Plus Chequing account
Fund the required $5 membership share
Be a resident of Ontario and meet YNCU’s standard membership criteria
This Offer is not available to existing YNCU members.
“New member” means an individual who does not currently hold, and has not held within the past [12] months, a YNCU personal banking account as a primary account holder.
4. Premium Chequing Offer (Simply Plus Chequing)
The “Premium Chequing” account referenced in this Offer is YNCU’s Simply Plus Chequing account
Eligible members will receive no monthly account fees on the Simply Plus Chequing account for six (6) months from the date the account is opened (the “Promotional Period”)
After the Promotional Period ends, the account will revert to standard Simply Plus Chequing pricing and terms
Additional service fees (including but not limited to overdraft, NSF, wire transfers, or non-standard transactions) will still apply during the Promotional Period.
Account must remain open and in good standing throughout the Promotional Period to maintain the Offer
Features and benefits of Simply Plus Chequing are subject to change. See yncu.com for full account details.
This Offer cannot be combined with other chequing account promotions unless otherwise stated.
5. Mortgage Rate Discount Offer (10 BPS)
Eligible members may receive a 0.10% (10 basis point) interest rate discount on a new YNCU mortgage
To qualify, both application and funding must occur within six (6) months of becoming a new member during the Offer Period
The interest rate discount, if applied, will remain in effect for the full term of the eligible mortgage
Available only on approved credit and eligible mortgage products
This Offer cannot be combined with certain other mortgage promotions, unless otherwise permitted by YNCU
All mortgages are subject to YNCU’s standard lending criteria and approval processes. In case of an inconsistency between the terms herein and the signed mortgage agreement, the signed mortgage agreement terms shall prevail.
Eligible mortgage products are determined by YNCU in its sole discretion.
6. General Conditions
The Offer has no cash value and is non-transferable
Limit of one Offer per new member
The Offer may be modified, extended, or withdrawn at any time without notice, at YNCU’s sole discretion
YNCU reserves the right to refuse, limit, or revoke the Offer where it determines the Offer is being used in a manner inconsistent with its intent, including where fraudulent, abusive, or suspicious activity is identified
YNCU may verify eligibility and compliance with these Terms and Conditions at any time.
7. Relationship to Contest
Participation in this Offer does not guarantee entry into the Bank to Play $30K Giveaway contest. Contest entry is subject to separate eligibility requirements and official contest rules.
